well said Scott, the justifications and critical insights of your position need careful handling but you are absoluely on the right track...

thanks for the references...i think this is where the main field will be in 5-10 years time...3D information objects... IBIS and its 2D properties will be part of the code of design but certainly not the key architecture...in my opinion...
Hi Scott and Jack,
I like Scott's presentation and the line of argument that views arguments as multi-relational rather than hierachical; a 3D sphere rather than a 2D plane...as RBF recognised, energy is made of angle/frequency events, these compri…
Scott and Jack,
I will review Cohere more closely to evaluate its performance, however, I don't refute the argument that trees and fishbone maps offer a simple IBIS standard for mapping, while my argument is that, even given 'slider gui layers', th…
I hope all well with you - i've been so busy and looking into the future i can't see any change, except getting the software built...all the best and i'll update you when there is something to see...rb
Just getting paced into fall on my end; the first leaves are turning hereabouts. Still job searching; the unending grind of that is my biggest challenge. A friend died recently; this puts any complaints I have in proper perspective. A new grandson is due soon (if you are ever interested, my goddaughter Jenny Sokun posted some pictures for me on Facebook; I'm not photo digitized right now. Been swimming in a nearby trout stream pond as often as I can and will continue until I turn blue doing it :) Taking a Gnostic practices course and doing regular Tai Chi for breaks, refreshment and enlightenment. We rebuilt the sweat lodge a week ago and will use it for the first time this weekend; this is "the way I walk" as we say. We are an unusual traditional AND open (to all) or so-called rainbow lodge, our teachers are traditional Anishinaabe/Cree/Saulteaux* elders from way up in Canada who had that vision (*info at link below)

Starting a "women at the crossroads" group with another woman who has similarly had dreams and visions and leadings about this. Spending time with my many godkids as I'm able and they want to. Life is good. That's mine of late in a nutshell. Time to put on my professional hat and grind away. Lynne
Greetings. I've been so lax online of late.... Hmmmmmmmm. I've been going on the understanding that with a world out of balance and tipped to the so-called masculine principle side of the this-level-duality-reality, a tip back into balance would be a good thing -- as seen from that perspective. Many other understandings, including the Anishinaabe prophesies, talk of this time as the time women will move into their rightful (loaded word, sorry) place and restore that balance. So, I guess this Afghan press et al doesn't surprise me, as more deeply and personally that's also what I see/feel/sense happening, and seen from the eagle's eye, seems to be a sensible thing. As for this being co-opted (is this what you were suggesting?) hmmmm I'll send this and then hone in on that if so... Happy to be friends :) and congrats-in-advance on your software! Still job-searching here, and expecting my second grandbaby in a month :) To be cont.... Lynne
My goodness, look at this -- it's a month later. My daughter was in town for a one of a kind extended visit right on the heels of the other things eg sister's surgery, so here I am finally catching up on email. That's all I'll say for now, except that it's nice to be back in touch with this aspect of my life! Hope that all is well with you and yours. Lynne
Dear Robert,
I appreciate your comment. Yes this is the photo of Swami Yoganand, I can not be like Him, even the dust of His feet. I love Him with all my heart.
Robert, Sorry to have been so absent. Surgery complications for my sister and lots of unexpected things popping up. Will be back in the swing next week. Have a great weekend!
Robert this is quite embarrassing to admit. I grew up in East Alton, Illinois. One of Buckminster Fuller's largest domes was within eye sight of my backyard. So much for stressing local history in the public education system.
Thanks for mentioning Buckminster Fuller. Like him I lack an extensive educational background, but desire to change the human condition through technological means. Reading Wikipedia I noticed that Bucky taught at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I graduated from the sister campus of this university in Edwardsville Illinois.
Honestly, I have not read any of his work, but will be doing so.
Robert, I use a geodesic visualization model because it has mass understanding and illustrates connectivity. The ultimate knowledge representation has a potential unlimited number of connection per node.
Air traffic flight mapping software illustrates this type of connectivity. Representing this model in a non chaotic display is the real choir. You are welcome to reference any laymen thoughts from my blog on global sensemaking or from my home page at http://www.dogoodgauge.org.
Continued dialog with individuals having a similar passions to advance argument theory is what I'm currently seeking.
The reference you have provided has given me something to chew on for sometime. Thanks again.
